We are thrilled to announce over $500,000 in grants awarded through our Smart & Caring Grant cycle for 2022.
The Andrea and Heinz Schaerer Fund
Life-long philanthropists and volunteers, Andrea and Heinz Schaerer, find a new way to give back to the Nature Trust of New Brunswick and the Boys and Girls’ Club of Greater Saint John with an endowment fund, which will support these organizations in perpetuity.
Over the coming months, the Community Foundation is working in partnership with five youth serving agencies that have programs dedicated to academic support. This deeply collaborative project will focus on establishing action-oriented strategies and designing a network of support that leverage the strengths of each program.
Youth-Led Granting: A Participatory Approach in Action
