Saint John Jewish Historical Museum
The Museum is the only Jewish Museum in the region. We open our doors to visitors / tourists to Saint John from late May to early November with our busiest days being when cruise ships are docked in port. We preserve the history of the Saint John Jewish community which dates back to 1783 through the collections in our archives and provide educational tours and programs throughout the year to schools, church groups, and other organizations. We have special events to commemorate the Holocaust (April) and Chanukah (December), hold an annual Jewish film festival as a fundraising and awareness event (October) and occasionally other events including book readings and historic walks.
The Salvation Army Sussex Community Church and Family Services
We operate the largest food bank in the area but provide system navigation, case management as well. We host other service providers to accommodate low barrier access to resources. We are involved with supporting the homeless/precariously housed. We have a monthly senior's lunch and learn and other programming.
Saint John Naturalists Club
