In 2016, the Community Foundation of Greater Saint John celebrated a remarkable milestone — 40 years of giving. Four decades of caring, connecting, and community-building had touched every corner of our region. At our anniversary event, we proudly awarded $360,000 in grants to local charities helping make Saint John stronger, healthier, and more vibrant.
But it was more than a celebration of funding — it was a celebration of people. Donors who shared their generosity, volunteers who gave their time, and partners who turned vision into action all helped shape our story.
As we reflected on the Foundation’s journey, one message stood out: real impact happens when people come together for the common good. That anniversary wasn’t just about looking back — it reminded us that the spirit of giving in Greater Saint John is stronger than ever, and together, we can continue building a future rooted in generosity and hope.
