50 Years of Impact: $400,000 Invested in Community

As part of its Spring 2026 Community Impact Grant program, the Community Foundation of Greater Saint John is proud to announce $400,000 in funding for 15 local charitable organizations.

The funding was awarded following a competitive grant process that saw 42 organizations request more than $1.2 million in support. While the needs in our community continue to grow, these grants represent strategic investments in programs and initiatives that are creating meaningful change across Greater Saint John.

The projects funded this year touch nearly every aspect of community life.

They support young people experiencing housing instability, help students pursue post-secondary education, provide affordable access to mental health services, and create pathways to employment and independence. They strengthen neighbourhoods through food security programs, family supports, and community gathering spaces. They create opportunities for inclusion through sports, arts, culture, and community connection.

This year's grants also support environmental stewardship, Indigenous-led learning, affordable housing initiatives, community research, and programs that help survivors of violence safely rebuild their lives.

Taken together, these 15 grants tell an important story about our community. They reflect both the challenges we face and the incredible organizations working every day to address them. More importantly, they demonstrate what is possible when generosity is transformed into action.

For 50 years, the Community Foundation has connected donors with the causes and organizations that matter most. Through endowed funds and community investments, generations of donors have helped create a lasting source of support for the region.

The Spring 2026 Community Impact Grants are the latest chapter in that legacy.
