100 Women Who Care of Greater Saint John Surpasses $1.3 Million in Community Giving
More than a million dollars in community support—driven by the power of women giving together.
Today’s impact story highlights one of our valued partners, 100 Women who Care of Greater Saint John. Partnerships are what make community impact possible, and our work with 100 Women Who Care Saint John is something we are so very proud of!
This remarkable group of women gathers regularly with a simple but powerful goal: to make a meaningful difference in our community through collective giving. At each meeting, members hear from three local charitable organizations and vote together on where their combined contribution will go.
At their most recent meeting, the group reached an incredible milestone. With their latest gift of $23,600 to the Teen Resource Centre, 100 Women Who Care has now surpassed $1.3 million in community giving since they began.
Through our partnership, the Community Foundation supports the group by providing grant administration, charitable receipting, and Audio/Visual sponsorship, helping them to maintain zero overhead so that every dollar raised goes directly to the charities they support.
It’s a privilege to attend their meetings and witness this generosity in action. The energy in the room is inspiring as members learn about local needs, hear powerful stories from organizations, and come together to decide where their collective gift will go.
At same meeting yesterday, members also heard from December’s recipient, Sunny Side Tiny Homes Community (through the United Way), who shared how their support is helping build an innovative and compassionate housing community right here in our region.
Moments like these are a powerful reminder of what happens when people come together with a shared commitment to their community. We’re proud to partner with 100 Women Who Care Saint John and grateful to help support the incredible impact they continue to make.
