The Sisters SRC Fund
Established in 2025 by the Sisters of Charity of the Immaculate Conception.
The Sisters SRC Fund was established in 2025 by the Sisters of Charity of the Immaculate Conception to support the Sophia Recovery Centre (SRC) and to honour the visionary leadership of Sister Arleen Brawley and Sister Mary Beth McCurdy who founded the Sophia Recovery Centre.
This permanent endowment supports the long-term sustainability of Sophia Recovery Centre’s mission: empowering women in recovery from addiction through counselling, peer support, and holistic wellness programs.
In keeping with the values of the Sisters of Charity, the fund is ethically invested according to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles, ensuring it reflects the compassion and integrity of its founders.
This fund celebrates a legacy of care and hope, offering women the opportunity to heal, grow, and thrive — today and for generations to come.

The D.A.R.E. program, founded in 1999, taught youth to resist peer pressure and avoid drugs and violence. Though the Fundy Chapter dissolved in 2022, it created the D.A.R.E. Fundy Legacy Fund to support local charities aiding youth with substance abuse in Greater Saint John.
The Dr. David Stephen Legacy Fund supports initiatives in Greater Saint John that promote the prevention, awareness, and treatment of child maltreatment, with a focus on education and training for professionals working to protect children.
The Shining Horizons Equine Assisted Wellness Fund supports the long-term sustainability of therapeutic riding and equine-assisted wellness programs, ensuring children, youth, and adults can continue to access these life-changing services for generations to come.
The Doug Elliott H.O.P.E. Centre Fund honors Douglas Elliott’s legacy of community service, supporting the H.O.P.E. Centre in Loch Lomond, which provides health and family services through the Provincial Wellness Centre.
