Sproul Court Lodge Inc. was established on June 3, 1988  and with the mission statement: “to enable adults in the Greater Saint John area who have intellectual or developmental disabilities to have valued social roles and self-directed lives of quality in their community.” It was later renamed Community Living Options on February 2, 1993.

Peter Roche was a founding member of Community Living Options, an active member of the board since its formation, served as president for many years, and also served as past-president for two years prior to his passing in 2019.

Community Living Options is now, in 2024, establishing a permanent endowment fund to support bursaries for students pursuing studies that will support adults with intellectual and development disabilities at the New Brunswick Community College to be named ‘The Peter Roche Memorial Bursary’ and to support Key Industries and L’Arche Saint John; two charities in the Greater Saint John area that provide services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

They create this endowment fund in Peter Roche’s memory.
