The Kiwanis Charities Percy R. Cain Fund
The Kiwanis Charities Percy R. Cain Fund, established in 2020, honors Percy Cain’s bequest to the Kiwanis Golden “K” Club of Saint John. This endowment supports local children and families, preserving his legacy of service.
The Kiwanis Club was incorporated on October 10, 1942. The work on the Club includes raising and distributing money through Kiwanis Charities in support of children and their families in the Greater Saint John community.
Upon his death on May 29, 1990, Percy Roland Cain bequeathed a portion of his estate to the Kiwanis Golden “K” Club of Saint John. In September of 2020 the Board of Directors of both the Kiwanis Club and Kiwanis Charities established a permanent endowment fund with The Community Foundation, ‘The Kiwanis Charities Percy R. Cain Fund’ in recognition of his donation and to ensure the legacy of Kiwanis service work in Greater Saint John.
The Community Foundation is honored to be entrusted with this very important fund.
