The Belonging Restored Fund is a permanent endowment established by the Centre for Youth Care (CYC). Created in 2026, the fund provides sustainable, long-term support for programs and services that empower vulnerable children and youth in our community.

In November 2025, Centre for Youth Care hosted “Rooted in Mission, Ready for Change”, a community summit focused on ending youth homelessness. Proceeds from ticket sales became the first investment into the Belonging Restored Fund, laying the foundation for a lasting legacy of care, stability, and opportunity for the young people CYC serves.

Established in 1971, the Centre for Youth Care has been a cornerstone of community-based youth care in Greater Saint John for more than five decades. Guided by a mission to provide safe, nurturing, and inclusive environments, CYC supports children and youth as they navigate complex challenges and work toward brighter futures.

Today, CYC operates a comprehensive network of supports, including more than 11 youth care homes, a youth rapid response shelter, supportive housing programs, and extensive case management and outreach services. Through this continuum of care, CYC meets youth where they are, offering stability, connection, and opportunities for growth and independence. Their work is grounded in compassion, acceptance, responsiveness, and empowerment, ensuring every young person feels valued and supported.

The Belonging Restored Fund reflects CYC’s belief in the strength and potential of both the community and the young people it serves. Through this endowment, CYC is investing in long-term resilience, stability, and opportunities for children, youth, and young adults across the region.

Income from the Belonging Restored Fund supports CYC’s ongoing programs and services, helping the organization respond to emerging needs while sustaining its vital work. As an endowed fund held in perpetuity, it will grow over time, creating lasting impact and ensuring that future generations of young people continue to experience a sense of belonging, care, and opportunity.
