This bursary honours Al Smith's memory and his commitment to helping provide local youth with the opportunity for advanced learning and a brighter future.

This permanent endowment fund awards annual bursaries in Barbara and Don Ring's memory to graduates of Saint John and Harbour View High Schools wishing to pursue post-secondary studies in the visual arts.

In the 1950s, a group from Belleisle raised funds to build a medical office, forming the Belleisle Valley Health Centre. Proceeds from its sale now fund scholarships for Belleisle Regional High School graduates in health-related fields through this endowed fund.

In 2012, the Bill Gale Bursary Fund was created to support Saint John students in need of financial assistance for post-secondary education. The bursary is awarded to students with strong potential, financial need, and community support.

This fund will annually support three scholarships for women from the Saint John area who are or will be enrolled as full-time university students.

The Charles F. W. Starkey Memorial Scholarship Fund supports Cambridge Narrows graduates in post-secondary education.

The Cheryl M.G. Robertson Bursary Fund was established in 2021 to support NBCC students. This permanent endowment provides financial assistance to returning full-time students based on financial need, academic achievement, leadership, and community involvement.

The Constable Doug Larche Memorial Bursary Fund will provide one or more bursaries to graduates of St. Malachy’s Memorial High School who plan on pursuing full time post secondary education.

The Constable Royce Isenor Memorial Scholarship Fund, established in 2008, honors the legacy of Constable Isenor, a beloved officer of the Saint John Force. This fund provides an annual scholarship to high school graduates from the Greater Saint John area pursuing studies at UNB Saint John,

In order to give back to the community, the Cook family of Saint John created a fund that supports the charity of their choice, along with a scholarship for UNBSJ students.

Earnings from the fund will support an annual bursary for students who demonstrate academic potential but are lacking the financial resources to continue their pursuit of higher education at either the University of New Brunswick-Saint John (UNBSJ) or the New Brunswick Community College (NBCC).

Each year the fund will award scholarships to students at the University of New Brunswick Saint John who are either in their 3rd or 4th year of a history program or are candidates in the Masters program.

The Kelly family established the David “DK” Kelly Memorial Bursary Fund to honor DK’s incredible legacy. The fund’s annual income will support St. Malachy’s Memorial High School graduates pursuing medical-related studies, with preference for those involved in community service or philanthropy.

The Dr. Eli Davis Memorial Fund supports the Dr. Eli Davis Memorial Nursing Award, recognizing top-performing nursing students in operating and recovery room studies at UNB Saint John.

The Saint John Volunteer Centre, founded in 1975, ceased operations in 2020 and established the Dr. M. Christie Memorial Bursary in honor of Dr. Florence M. Christie. The bursary supports a mature female graduate from Greater Saint John with financial need, volunteer experience, pursuing post-secondary education at UNB Saint John.

The Dr. J.P. and Anita McInerney Family Fund honors Dr. McInerney’s legacy in medicine and community service, providing grants to health, education, and social service charities in Saint John.
